Building on the 2008 Blackacre meeting of KCC, this session features different views on land conservation needs in Kentucky for the 21st Century.    KCC is playing a major role in addressing this issue and has been instrumental in creating and convening the 2009 Kentucky Land Stewardship and Conservation Task Force.    A status report of the Task Force will be presented during this session

11:30 Panel two: Pursuing a Sustainable Energy Future for Kentucky - Andy McDonald, Chair

What are the possibilities for moving towards sustainability in the way energy is produced and consumed in Kentucky ? Panelists will discuss Kentucky 's potential for reducing demand through energy efficiency and conservation while developing renewable energy resources such as solar, wind and hydro. The discussion will include perspectives on our legislative and policy options for promoting a sustainable energy economy.
